NEW SUSHI RESTAURANT IN MELBOURNE'S CBD MAKES QUICK DINING AN EXPERIENCE AGAIN!With private access via an elevator down the alleyway of Topshop at Melbourne Emporium shopping centre, Tetsujin has an exciting ambiance from start to finish.
Upon exiting the private lift you walk through the dark and smokey room of the bbq house which is full of groups of friends sharing hot plates meals and glasses of wine. After requesting a seat at the sushi train you are then ushered to a space age, modern, white and bright room.
The first time I went I had to wait 45 minutes- but it was so worth it believe it or not!! At $3.30 per plate of sushi you don't have to worry about what colour plate means what- just eat whatever tickles your fancy!! But of course, you do have to try something new while you're at it.
What at about an oyster shooter? Literally an oyster in a shot glass- refreshing and delicious, not nearly as scary as it looks!
After a bit of fiddling around and guess work, you can get extra food bought fresh out to you from the kitchen. Okononyaki and Udon are some of our favourites. Within minutes of pressing order from your iPad, a smiling face will deliver your food fresh to you. If you've ordered a sushi dish, you can watch the chefs in the middle of the seating area and guess which is yours.
Next time you're in the city definitely check it out. Sushi is one of my favourite foods, so it's great to find such a fun place to relax after a day of shopping in the city!
love the food but not prepared to wait for so long again! Hopefully the line has died down now as it has been open for a whie
