I discovered St Edmonds only a few months ago, and it has taken me until now to realise why it is called that! This groovy hangout is situated on St Edmonds lane, hence the name, and is only a block behind Chapel Street.
The interesting graffiti mural on the side of the building means that on the busy days you can spend your time waiting by posing in front of it and making your Instagram followers jealous!!
If you think you're a coffee connoisseur then you're bound to be impressed by the machine they have. Slayer. When I asked one of the top bun wearing waiter what sort of machine they had, he looked over lovingly at it and said "it's a slayer. Kind of like the Rolls Royce of coffee machines". Since I don't know coffee, I excitedly texted my coffee snob friend saying "omg my favourite place has a slayer, now I know they're actually good!" to which he replied "slayers are the Rolls Royce of coffee machines".
So basically, if you want your coffee to hashtag slay, it's probably best that you hunt down one of the 3 places in Melbourne that have a Slayer machine. Have you heard that it's basically the Rolls Royce of coffee machines? :P
Besides having great coffee, they also have my favourite menu ever. It's not one of my favourites, it's my number 1 favourite that will never fail me.
Open every day of the week from early, they will be able to satisfy all your cravings. For breakfast I'll always always have their French toast, if you're a sweet tooth it will be literally the best thing you ever put in your mouth. No joke.
I'm not much of a lunch fan, but they've got soups and pulled pork and club sandwiches, and there will be something to tickle everyone's fancy.
I can't talk highly enough of this place, if you live in the area you should definitely make it your new regular place. If not, it's definitely worth travelling cross country to visit this place. Plus, who doesn't love a stroll up and down all the groovy Greville Street shops!
This place gets 10/10 and is the benchmark for every other place I compare.
