Located in the Camberwell "well" shopping strip, the cafe My Other Brother easily distinguishes itself from the run of the mill tired looking cafes that have populated the strip for so long.
The cool outdoor setting with black picket fence and pot plants clearly proves that it's a cool place. However the interior setting leaves a lot to be desired. The open plan ~esque white concrete would be cool, if they had funky art works or something to complement it, but the boring and out of place generic cloud pictures do not work in the space.
Awkward uncomfortable bench seats and a huge communal table that dominates the space, making it difficult for the 2 seater tables to navigate past each other.
On the bright side, the coffee was actually good. Their house blend was proudly advertised next to the counter and on the well thought out menus.
The mini sliders from the fridge that we had were quite nice, but overpriced for the size.
Overall, the best cafe option if you're in the area but don't rush out of your way to get there any time soon.
