Aptly named after the street it's on, Darling Cafe (Number 2 Darling Street South Yarra), is exactly that - it' really is a darling that is bound to win hearts. Just around the corner from South Yarra Train Station, it is bound to be a hot spot for coffee connoisseurs, bloggers and locals alike.
What used to be Coffee Darling has been renamed, refreshed, restyled; bringing it into the age of aesthetics-driven, instagramable cafe interiors. We are sure it won't take long before this is the place that everyone is talking about- all for good reason too!
Marble bench tops and gold accents give a luxurious and expensive feel, yet the menu is surprisingly reasonably priced. Only $15 for Eggs Benedict is a great price for something that cafe's exploit nowadays
(eg. $21.50 at Mammoth Cafe : http://twocogsinawheel.weebly.com/food/mammoth )
Featuring coffee from 5 Senses, a range of filter and other specialty coffee, and an elegant Synesso machine the entire ambiance of the cafe does feel very upmarket.
The staff are friendly and approachable, happy to chat while you relax, or set you up with something to-go, this place seems to fit the requirements to set it on the path to great success.
Definitely one to try before it gets too busy;
