Charcoal has been used in many different products from charcoal infused water to toothbrushes, now Charcoal in skincare routines is becoming a popular thing.
Why is Charcoal so good for your skin? Not only is it a striking black colour, making Charcoal face masks a perfect selfie accessory, but it actually has many purifying properties. Charcoal is really good at absorbing oil - it is 200 times better at doing so than any other ingredient. This means that it is perfect as a cleanser for those with problem T-zones, or oily/combination skin. With this power at drawing out oil and dirt from clogged pores means you don't have to use it every day to see differences. We have been using the Biore range for a few months now and our skin is seriously super bright, clear and smooth to touch. The Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser from Biore works into a nice lather leaving your skin feeling clean without being too dry. The Charcoal Pore Minimiser is great to use as a weekly detox for your skin. With micro crystals it is great to exfoliate your face with on Sunday night so you can feel fresh for the week ahead. Would you try adding Charcoal products into your skincare routine?

When Biore asked us to try out some of their new ranges we were super excited but also a little bit scared! We all get stuck into routines that we think are working but never really think to ever mix it up a little bit!
Baking soda is an essential to any chef's pantry cupboard, but it can also become an essential in your beauty routine! Baking soda is a great gentle exfoliator, it can help draw out pesky black heads and helps to absorb oil to prevent pore clogging. After using the Baking Soda Pore Cleanser every day and the cleansing scrub twice a week for a fortnight I can already feel my skin begin to clear up and it feels so much fresher. The Pore Cleanser is great for removing makeup and the gentle exfoliating properties of it ensures that your face is left feeling sparkling clean and fresh. You only need half a pump to lather your whole face. Bonus points for smelling so fresh too! The Exfoliating Powder is a bit trickier - it is just a dry powder that you mix with water yourself. It took us a few goes to work out that you only need a tiny tiny amount of the powder in your hand to mix with water in order to make enough mix for your face! It is a bit of novel fun having to mix it yourself, but it is actually really effective for treating problem areas a few times a week or even preventing break outs! Overall for my skin these products have actually really brightened up my skin and I haven't got a pimple since using it! I have combination skin that is oily in my T-zone and the exfoliating nature of the products has really agreed with my skin. When was the last time you tried a new product? From Eliza |
